Lightweight, zero-dependency Elixir library for inspecting PDF binary headers (%PDF-1.x), counting /Type /Page dictionary entries, validating cross-reference (xref) tables, and merging multiple PDF byte streams into a single document.

Built as the open-source companion library for the Merge PDF document processing utility, utilvo_pdf_merger enables pre-validating PDF buffers, counting total pages across multi-file batches, and concatenating PDF streams programmatically.

Functions

• count_pages(pdf_binary) — Counts leaf /Type /Page dictionary entries in a raw PDF binary.
• inspect_pdf(pdf_binary) — Inspects a PDF binary and returns specification version, page count, and %%EOF integrity status.
